Ever since Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus, it has been well established that colour plays a primordial role in jazz. When talking about his music, Joel Miller often uses terms more commonly associated with painting. The arrangements he presents on this CD are acoustic tapestries in which different instruments dissolve into one another. In short, this is an eclectic album, constructed with precision and skill.

Joel Miller - tenor sax
Christine Jensen - alto sax
Aron Doyle - trumpet
John Sadowy - piano & rhodes
Tommy Babin - bass
Karl Jannuska - drums
