Immediately following their show in the “Jazz d’Ici” series of the 2002 FIJM, François Théberge and his group decided to record a new album. In a spirit of evolution, research and musical exchange, Théberge developed an ambitious project called “Elenar” ("L and R": Line and Rhythm). This album, written for a large ensemble, is proof once again of Théberge’s unparalleled talents as composer and arranger. Carefully chosen sound textures, totally original solos, tight ensemble playing, it’s all here.
