Min Rager is, without a doubt, one of Canada's most promising young jazz pianists but this CD is as much a showcase for her compositional talent as it is for her obvious pianistic virtuosity. She has surrounded herself here with a stellar group of Montreal's finest jazz players and uses them to great advantage in presenting a beautiful collection of her own original music.

This album alternates blues, ballads, hard bop and bossa-nova. Min Rager also offers some beautiful homage to the greats John Coltrane and Miles Davis. This is wonderful music played by great musicians.
