Inspired both by the spontaneity of jazz and by the meaningful lyrics of chansons à textes, Sonia Johnson’s latest album features all-new material arranged in a perfect blend of improvisation and literature. In addition to her own compositions, the album contains songs co-written with authors Christian Mistral, Marc Chabot, Stanley Péan, Charly Bouchara and Claude André. In these, the singer gives free reign to her sensitivity and deep love of vocal improvisation.
