Since their first meeting at the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec five years ago, the members of NDE Quartet have continued their musical explorations unabated, through arrangements, harmonies and themes inspired by multiple influences from African-American music to the European folk tradition. Continuing in this vein, NDE’s music here draws from those currents in modern jazz where sound forms a coherent whole, sensitive, open and rich in exploration.
