BIOGRAPHY

Guitarist Carl Naud was born in the Lac St-Jean region of Québec. After studying jazz and pop music at Alma CEGEP, he went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance from the Université de Montréal. He has studied under such renowned musicians as guitarists Richard Ring, Reno De Stefano and Michael Pucci, drummer Richard Provençal and pianist Pierre Leduc.

Over a ten-year period, he accompanied numerous ensembles, playing everything from blues to rock, from funk to jazz. During the course of his career, Carl Naud has performed alongside musicians such as Rémi Bolduc, Michel Grégoire, Guy Boisvert, Thüryn Von Pranke, and Térez Montcalm. Carl has participated in numerous festivals and concerts across Canada, as well as in France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
In 2000, he released his first CD "Ouverture" on the Effendi Records label, containing both jazz classics and original compositions.
