One of the most sought-after pianists on the Québec jazz scene, Vincent Gagnon honed his talents alongside such reputable teachers as Steve Amirault (Montréal), Alan Broadbent (Los Angeles) and Jimmy Cobb (New York). Well-known for his refined playing style, he regularly performs with Québec City's best jazz artists, including Annie Poulain, Guillaume Bouchard, Michel Côté, André Larue, Janis Steprans and Virginie Hamel. He has worked on major projects with international artists such as Rich Perry (New York), Michel Donato (Montréal), André Lachance (Vancouver), Jared Burrows (Vancouver) and Vincent Wolfe (Toronto).

Now he's back on the Effendi label with his first album as leader, Bleu cendre.
