Born in Altona, Manitoba, Canada on December 31, 1975, drummer Karl Jannuska grew up in Brandon, Manitoba, where he began studying drums at the age of seven. In 1997, he received a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance with High Distinction from McGill University in Montréal, studying with Peter Magadini, Chris McCann and André White. In 1999, with grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des Arts et des lettres du Québec, Karl spent nine months in New York City studying with drummer Tom Rainey. Now living in Paris since 2001, he has become one of the most sought-after drummers in France.


Marianne Trudel is a multi-talented pianist, composer, improvisor, and arranger. At once energetic and passionate, her music cross-cuts a wide swath of musical interests. As a performer, she pursues an active career in a variety of settings ranging from solo performance to more intimate duos and trios, and larger groups as quintet, septet and large ensembles. She has played in Canada, United States and France.
