A piano-double bass-drums trio is a space of freedom that allows to express, to provoke in turns or simultaneously, feelings that can go from the biggest dispossession to the biggest chaos. But freedom has value only if people know what to do with it and how to use it.

Sophia Domancich, Jean-Jacques Avenel and Simon Goubert have all developped this art for a long time within bands that were determinating in the jazz world : with Paul Rogers and Tony Levin as well as Ramon Lopez and Joëlle Léandre for Sophia Domancich; notably with Bobby Few and Mal Wadron for Jean-Jacques Avenel, with John Hicks, Joachim Kühn as well as Michel Grailler and Alby Cullaz for Simon Goubert.

On this first album, DAG let people listen to a repertoire done of stringent compositions of the three characters as well as melodies drawing open spaces in which ad-libbing rises… in which the sounds of three outstanding musicians become one.

Sophia DOMANCICH - piano
Jean-Jacques AVENEL - acoustic bass
Simon GOUBERT - drum
