Himalaya, an inspired sequel to Bleu cendre, presents recent compositions, interpreted by major jazzmen from Quebec and Montreal:

Alain Boies – soprano/alto sax.

Michel Côté – tenor sax / maïkotron

Guillaume Bouchard – upright bass

Michel Lambert – drums / maïkotron

Vincent Gagnon’s music is a crossover of traditional jazz music and impressive music giving great melodies  and communicative swing. Recognized for his subtle playing, Vincent Gagnon collaborated with best musicians in the Province of Quebec. His more recent album, Himalaya presents a simple, tuneful, creative and accessible side to his music. Leaving room for freedom and spontaneity. Poems by Jean Coulombe and Michel Pleau inspired the music of Himalaya.
